Captain Bob Edwards spent his corporate career for several large corporations. During this time, he consulted BellSouth Corporation, Human Resources Technologies and spent 5 years with Hitachi High Technologies. Hitachi called upon him to return in 08’, 09’ and 10’ as a consultant.

Bob has extensive experience with all manner of power and sailboat work from electrical; replacing hardware to the latest rigging; strengthen soft spots in your deck. He can help you with any project. Bob holds a 100-ton U.S.C.G. Captain license and is a PADI Assist. Instructor. He has logged over 50k blue water miles covering from South Africa; West Coast of Africa; St Helena to South America; Caribbean; New England and the Bahamas. Logging over 2,500 dives reaching depths of 150’; the latest in Japan.

Bob started his chartering and working on boats in 1985 and set out on an adventure of a lifetime. Before heading up his chartering company he needed to accomplish a few things, like building a dive boat and getting his Dive Master certificate. To accomplish this, he needed to spend 6 grueling months under the control of PADI Course Director, Gregg Johnson. During this time, he designed and had a 35’ custom dive boat built in Maine which he named Brain Storm I. The boat was trucked across land and launched in Ft. Lauderdale. In December ’85 he was ready to depart Florida for the Caribbean or at least thought he was. For the maiden voyage he needed to hire an experienced Captain to navigate and teach him the art of ocean travel. This entailed the hiring of one “Captain Fu”. That’s another story. Bob’s boating experience spans over 20 years providing only the best in ocean cruises/racing; chartering; team building; deliveries; surveys; complete vessel re-fit; private boat handling instruction and safety programs, to all types of repairs. Bob participated in Antigua Race Week 1994 winning 2nd place, and has owned or managed chartering businesses over 13 years.
